Aarogya Sakhees: Healthcare delivery at doorstep of Mumbai's slums through Women Self Help Groups
Sahabhag faciliated a partnership between Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), Maharashtra Government's nodal agency for women development and Pharmeasy, an online affordable medicine ordering startup to provide alternate sources of livelihood to women self help groups of Ghe Bharari Community Managed Resource Centre (CMRC), Mumbai and improve health profile of the community through affordable medicines and health camps
The project aims to enable women from MAVIM's Women Self help groups to use technology to facilitate affordable healthcare to their broader communities. Through 20 health camps planned for next 6 months, the private partner PharmEasy aims to improve the health profile of the slum dweller community in Maharashtra. A successful pilot her will be scaled up to other parts of Maharashtra.
