About the Drive

On 2nd October 2014 Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission, a massive movement that seeks to create a clean India. According to Hon. PM the best tribute we can pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary is a clean India. Our beloved Hon. CM Shri. Devendra Fadnavis has emphasized that Swachh Maharashtra is not a one-time campaign but it’s a public movement that would go long way in addressing critical problems related to environmental pollution and health hazards.

Antophill Forane Youth which is a part of Diocese of Kalyan, has membership of young men and women from 8 churches (Antophill , Chembur, Kurla, Shell-Colony, Marouli, Assisi Nagar, Tilak Nagar and Mankhurd). These youngsters have undertaken a railway station cleanliness drive as a part of social responsibility towards fulfilling the vision of Hon. Prime Minister. Almost 40 youngsters from across the Antophill Forane (zone), under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Shaiju Kattayath, the director of Antophill Forane Youth came together, cleaned the Mankhurd Railway Station on Sunday 24th September 2017, echoing the mission of Swachh Bharat.
